A man dsguised as an armored truck driver tricked employees of a Walmart in Bristow, Okla., into giving him $75,000 on July 4. According to police, the man told Walmart employees that he was from Loomis, a cash handling services company, and that he was there to pick up the store's deposit. He wore what looked like a bullet proof vest and an outfit similar to that of Loomis employees minus the logo, Fox 23 reports.

The unsuspecting employees handed him the money and he left. He drove an all-black Chevrolet, not the usual armored truck that Loomis employees use. Police said the man did not threaten the employees in any way.

The employees did not realize anything was wrong until the real Loomis representative arrived 30 minutes later and asked for the scheduled store deposit, reports News on 6, a local media outlet.

Police said the vest the suspect wore did not look like a real bullet proof vest.

"It looked similar to a weight running vest," Detective Kevin Webster said, according to Fox 23.

Webster, who is investigating the fourth of July Walmart heist, told reporters the suspect probably knew about Walmart or Loomis security protocol.

"That appears to be the case, it appears to have been planned with some knowledge, but I wouldn't say for sure at this point," Webster said. "I've actually been in contact with WalMart and this is the first robbery like this that anybody can remember," he added, according to CBS News.

Webster said the FBI and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are helping out in the investigation, and FBI may take the case.

Authorities have released a photo of the suspect to the public, News on 6 reports.
