Around two-dozen dogs are living in the House with a Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary, a retirement home for dogs in Gaithersburg, Md. run by a kind hearted woman.

The dogs spend their golden days in the retirement home that is established by Sher Polvinale and her late husband, Joe. Polvinale, along with her team of volunteers, takes care of the canines. The senior dogs are from rescues or people who can no longer take care of them.

The dogs have little chance of being adopted because of their age and medical conditions, I Heart Dogs reported. Hence, the retirement home has become their sanctuary.

Polvinale cares for the dogs, which includes bathing and feeding them. She also makes sure that they get proper medication and would regularly visit the vet for checkups. When the dogs pass away, the entire family is there with them.

In the video, you will see the day-to-day tasks she does to care for the dogs. You can also get a glimpse of the retirement home. Despite the number of dogs in the house, each one gets the love and attention they deserve, even in the last years of their lives.
