The Dallas Mavericks have put the full court press on free agent center DeAndre Jordan, but they are formulating some back up plans just in case. Jordan's decision appears to be between the Mavs or re-signing with the Los Angeles Clippers. If it's the latter, Dallas is reportedly considering a trade for Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert.

As Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com notes in the above tweet, any such transaction would be a straight "salary-dump deal" which means the Mavericks would absorb Hibbert's contract via cap space instead of taking back any players from Indiana. The Spurs pulled off a similar deal yesterday when they traded center Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks to open up room for a potential LaMarcus Aldridge signing.

Hibbert, a two-time All-Star, has fallen on tough times since being a finalist for the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award a few years back. He averaged 11.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game this past season.
