Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner officially announced they were getting a divorce, after 10 years of marriage, on Tuesday. They plan to continue their relationship as friends and co-parent their children, and now it has been revealed that they will even continue to live together.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the couple said in a statement. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children, whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time."

Even though this was just announced yesterday, the Hollywood Couple has been privately separated for a few months now, reported People.

"This should not be an ugly divorce," a source told People. "They plan on co-parenting and doing absolutely everything in the best interest of the kids.

"They've been in counseling for some time and have tried hard to work through things in their marriage," added the source. "They've been separated for a few months but will continue to work together as co-parents and as people who still care about each other."

Earlier this month, moving trucks were spotted outside their home, which is when divorce rumors really started flying. But sources told People that this was all just for a long-planned renovation.

The source then went on to say that they do plan on remaining on the same property in Los Angeles, which they purchased in 2009 for $17.5 million. They are filing for joint custody so they can make their three kids, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, "their top priority."

"They don't want this to be the 'War of the Roses,'" another source told Us Weekly. "They want it to be simple and this takes the drama out of it. It is important for them to keep this nice and efficient for the sake of their family."

They will remain on the same Brentwood property, but just not in the same house.

"They've been married for a long time and tried to make it work for many years," added the source. "They eventually realized this is the best thing to do for their family. They don't want to be contentious. A lot of peple say that but they are doing this to ensure that it won't be. There is a lot of love there but, they are doing what is best for everybody."

Neither Affleck nor Garner have commented on their current or future living situation.
