Four years after the death of Amy Winehouse, a clip has been released showing the singer belting "Happy Birthday" at the age of 14. The clip comes from the new documentary "Amy," which follows the rise and fall of the tragic singer's life. The clip proves Amy was always a gifted and talented singer, even at the young age of 14.

Asif Kapadia, the director of "Amy," spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the clip. "There are a group of friends that she's with that are really close to her, they're sisters essentially," he said.

"It's three girls, Amy is one of them, Juliette and Lauren are the other two, and they just grow up together and there are, unfortunately, the way things transpire, they get separated," Kapadia said. "But the film begins with the three of them just messing around at a birthday party and they're just kids and you kind of think, 'What a weird way to open a film.'"

"Amy" is set to hit theatres on July 3, but not all those who were close to Amy stand behind the documentary. The Winehouse family said in a statement to Rolling Stone that they would like to disassociate themselves from the film.

"They feel that the film is a missed opportunity to celebrate her life and talent and that it is both misleading and contains some basic untruths," a spokesperson for the Winehouse family said. "There are specific allegations made against family and management that are unfounded and unbalanced."

Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in 2011 at the age of 27.
