Martin Jones was a member of the NHL's Boston-based franchise for less than five full days.

Jones, acquired by the Bruins and new GM Don Sweeney along with defensive prospect Colin Miller and a first-round pick in the 2015 NHL Draft in exchange for power forward Milan Lucic, was traded again Tuesday by Sweeney and the rest of the Boston brass to the San Jose Sharks.

ESPN and NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun was the first with the news. TSN's Frank Seravalli confirmed the report shortly thereafter.

The return for the Bruins is, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, a 2016 first-round pick and Sean Kuraly which, which, as ESPN's Craig Custance notes, makes the return for Lucic in total a 2015 first-round pick, a 2016 first-round pick, Miller and Kuraly.

According to Friedman, Wilson and Co. have already begun discussing a new contract for Jones. With Alex Stalock and Harri Sateri the only netminders currently under contract in San Jose after last year's starter Antti Niemi's rights were dealt to the Dallas Stars, it looks like Jones will get his reported wish of becoming a No. 1 in 2015-16.

As for the Bruins, Kuraly is a fairly talented two-way center prospect currently without a contract.

"Kuraly, 22, skated in all 40 games for Miami University (Ohio) in 2014-15 as Assistant Captain, racking up 19-10=29 totals with 38 penalty minutes. The forward's 19 goals ranked second on the team, while his 29-point output ranked fifth," reads the Bruins statement announcing the move.

"In 118 of a possible 120 NCAA contests (missed just two games to compete for Team USA in the 2013 World Junior Championships) at Miami University, Kuraly  accrued 37-33=70 totals.  Kuraly joins forwards Reilly Smith and Austin Czarnik as Miami University (Ohio) alumni currently in the Bruins' organization.  Kuraly was teammates with Czarnik from 2012-15."

Sweeney has certainly remained active thus far in his tenure, reshaping the Bruins and adding an abundance of youth to what had become an increasingly aging core.

While dealing defenseman Dougie Hamilton and adding Zac Rinaldo remain head-scratchers, the Lucic deal seems to have worked out well for Sweeney and the entire Bruins organization.
