Kevin Smith continues to drop the weight and tweeted on Saturday a side-by-side comparison showing his dramatic 85-pound weight loss over the last seven years.

Smith shared two photos with his daughter, one from 2008 and the other from two weeks ago. In the first, the "Clerks" director wears a large grey zipped hoodie and boat shoes while in the other, he looks a tad more dapper in a sleek black suit jacket. He still refuses to ditch his baggy denim shorts though.

"I shan't wear pants and will never abort the shorts," he captioned the pic.

The 44-year-old actor-director realized that he needed a lifestyle change in 2010 when Southwest Airlines kicked him off a flight from Oakland to Burbank, Calif. for not fitting in his seat. By the next year, he dropped 65 pounds.

Seeing the documentary, "Fed Up," also changed his perception on food and what's best for the body.

"Awesome documentary, an anti-sugar documentary that completely changed my perception," Smith told Men's Health in February 2014. "Since I was a kid, it was always, 'eat what you want'... So then I watch this documentary last year, and I was, like, 'Oh, man, um, I really don't wanna die - and I'm already 44-years old."

He also went on a juice cleanse recommended by his "Clerks" co-star, Jeff Anderson, but it was a pleasant experience.

"You can't believe how f---ing terrible it tastes! I just drank it with my nose pinched close and gulped it down really f---ing fast," Smith told the magazine.

Earlier this year, Smith announced that he would direct a third "Clerks" movie and a "Mallrats" sequel.
