June 26 will forever go down as the day Hollywood royalty met actual royalty. On Friday afternoon, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton sat down and had tea with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The two power couples met for the first time at Kensington Palace where they talked about their shared interest in combating the illegal wildlife trade, according to a Us Weekly source.

The meeting took months to coordinate, but the foursome finally found time to get together. The royal couple was "really nervous" to meet Brad and Angie, according to US Weekly.

"Everyone got on splendidly," a source told Us Weekly about the couples' afternoon tea. "Brad and Angelina spent much longer with the Duke and Duchess than planned. They ended up staying for almost a few hours."

Brad and Angelina were already in town so Angelina could attend a lunch at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, according to Hollywood Life.

Brad and Angelina did not turn up to the tea empty handed - the couple brought a special gift for Kate and William to celebrate the arrival of their new daughter, Princess Charlotte, who was born in May.
