Jill Duggar, her husband Derick Dillard and their 2-month-old son Israel are leaving their family, and all the drama that comes with it, behind to embark on an overseas mission.

The 24-year-old "19 Kids and Counting" star and her husband will be leaving rural Arkansas to take part in a Christian mission, according to E! News.

The couple made the announcement on the family website on Friday. This comes shortly after Derick, 26, left his job at Walmart and about a month after her older brother Josh Duggar's molestation scandal was made public. Since TLC made the decision to pull all episodes of the popular family reality show, Jill and Derick will be on this trip for a while and are publicly asking for donations to help them out.

"God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip, but we didn't know yet how God would fulfill that desire in us," they wrote on the site. "After much prayer and seeking Godly counsel, we realized that taking this opportunity and moving overseas in order to serve is the best option for our family."

"We don't expect this new adventure to always be easy," they continued. "But God never promised that following Him wouldn't have its challenges. We are confident in knowing that there is no better place to be than in the center of God's will for our lives. We look forward to this adventure and the joy of serving Him in this new way. We wanted to share this with you and ask for your prayers as our family makes this transition."

It is unclear where they are headed, but their mission will begin sometime in July. Jill posted a photo of Derick and an unidentified man on a mountain, most likely from his previous two-year Christian mission in Nepal. The caption reads, "We are moving! Rumors were going around at the end of May that Jill and her sister Jessa, who were both victims in their brothers molestation case, would be getting their own spinoff show about their marriages and families, according to Entertainment Tonight. Now, given the unknown long length of this mission, this seems very unlikely for Jill.
