A massive selling point for "Walking Dead" fans already sold on "Fear The Walking Dead" is that the spinoff will chronicle origins of the zombie outbreak that the primary series skipped over.

Of course, "The Walking Dead" fans remember that Rick Grimes woke up towards the end of the pilot episode with civilization already doomed. In the newest "Fear The Walking Dead" trailer, we get a glimpse how people were handling the slow downfall before humanity was overrun by walkers.

The video, which AMC released on Thursday, shows guidance counselor Madison (Kim Dickens) talking to a worried student.

"Reports in five states," the student says of zombie sightings. "They don't know if it's a virus or a microbe. They don't know, but it's spreading...No, people are killing!"

Madison quickly quiets the student down, telling him "You need to spend less time online."

Then comes her errie and ominous conclusion on the matter:

"The authorities would tell us."

Poor Madison has no idea how grave the situation is going to get. Check out the teaser below.
