Marge and Homer Simpson are hoping to put to rest those pesky divorce rumors that have swirled around "The Simpsons" characters for the last three weeks.

"Homie and I are here to address baseless rumors that we are going to split up," Marge says in a short clip shared by Fox's Animation Domination YouTube page.

Speculation of a possible divorce started when executive producer Al Jean previewed an upcoming "Simpsons" episode called, "Homer and Marge legally separate," in an interview with Variety. The show first responded to the Internet hysteria with two posts on Twitter.

In the video, Marge blames CNN for getting the ball rolling on the false story before the "real news" started reporting it. Homer then jumps in asking the news media to cover more important topics "like LeBron's junk."

"The Simpsons" children also make cameos in the clip including Bart making faces and Lisa advocating against fur. Maggie drops in as baby Cupid and as her father tries to "hardly apologize" for his actions during the video, the youngest Simpson shoots him in the eye with her suction-cup arrow.

"Don't worry honey, daddy will be fine," Marge says.

"No I won't!" Homer cries out. "I'll never see again - call CNN!"

"The Simpsons" will return for its 27th season this fall on Fox.
