Convicted murderer Jodi Arias will be forced to pay $32,000 to the family of her victim, ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. Arias was found guilty of first degree murder in 2013 and was convicted to life in prison without the possibility of parole in April, according to USA Today.

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge ordered her to pay the restitution, which was only about one third of the amount requested by the family. The money will reimburse the Alexander family for travel and lodging during the two trials.

The $32,000 will be split between Alexander's three sisters and two brothers in various amounts. Judge Sherry Stephens awarded $15,530.73 to sister Samantha Alexander; $10,754.99 to sister Tanisha Sorenson; $4,232.11 to sister Hilary Wilcox; $1,372 to brother Stephen Alexander and $225.60 to brother Dennis Alexander.

Arias killed Travis Alexander in June 2008. His body was found in his Phoenix home with nearly 30 stab wounds and a gunshot wound in the head, according to CNN.
