Meet Della. Della has a lovely life on a farm in Ireland. She recently had a litter of kittens, but shortly after giving birth, she adopted some new kids!

Newly hatched ducks were discovered shortly after Della delivered and the new mama's instincts kicked in. The hatchlings were taken in by Della and nurtured.

The ducklings and Della found each other at the perfect moment - a few hours earlier or later and the ducklings would have been lunch! Della's hormone levels were raised from giving birth and made her maternal toward the orphaned ducks, according to Imgur.

The ducklings have even learned to suckle and draw milk from Della - possibly from watching the kittens. Ducks mature faster than kittens, so the ducklings quickly started to act like ducks. Della had to keep after the ducklings to stay in the box.

The ducks are grown, but as ducks are known to do, they are loyal to their mama and follow her around the farm.
