A precocious pachyderm decided to show off for some tourists. The elephant puffs up his ears and charges at their vehicle to show his strength, but then gets a bit shy and hides behind a bush. You can even see him suckling on his truck, like a human baby would suck his thumb for comfort. (All mammals have this reflex, according to The Dodo, but when mom and milk isn't around, the next best thing - a thumb or a trunk - comes in handy.)

Once the big boy gets his confidence back, he tries it again. One of the tourists in the video can be heard speculating that the baby trying so hard to act tough is probably a year old. After a little more practice - and tripping on his feet - the elephant goes back to the security of his mom. She has lots more to teach him.
