Marion Cotillard is reportedly in talks to co-star alongside another one of Hollywood's leading men . . . Brad Pitt.

The French actress (and Jolie lookalike) has already worked with Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Michael Fassbender and Johnny Depp, so onto the next.

The screenplay will follow Pitt and Cotillard as two assassins who fall in love during a mission to kill a German ambassador during World War II, according to People.

The film is based on the untitled script penned by Steven Knight, and it will be directed by Robert Zemeckis.

After the couple marries in the movie, Pitt learns that his wife is a double agent working for the German government - and he must assassinate her, too.

The plot sounds strikingly similar to that of 2005's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," in which Pitt worked with now-wife Angelina Jolie. In the action film, Pitt and Jolie played a bored married couple who finds out they are both assassins hired by competing agencies to kill one other.

Originally, Cotillard's schedule conflicted with the filming arrangement, but production moved to the beginning of 2016, and she will now be able to join Pitt in the film.

The 39-year-old Oscar-winner most recently finished shooting "Macbeth" alongside Fassbender, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

The movie is expected to shoot in 2016 in Casablanca, London and Canada.
