An education group from Morocco is suing award-winning singer Jennifer Lopez for her performance during a concert that was also televised in Rabat, the nation's capital. The lawsuit claims that J. Lo's numbers "disturbed public order and tarnished women's honor and respect," according to TMZ.

"The concert featured all the hallmarks of what we'd call a typical JLo show - sexy dancing, skimpy outfits, appropriate emphasis on her (butt)...and her dancers' (butts)," TMZ reported. "Problem is ... according to this lawsuit, all those things have no business airing on Moroccan TV."

If convicted, the "American Idol" judge could face prison time from one month to two years. The lawsuit also named the show's promoter as the defendant, along with JLo.

The group is also asking Morocco's Minister of Communications, Mustapha Khalifi, to vacate his post for allowing the concert to air on television, according to BBC.

Khalafi admitted via his Twitter account that the broadcast was indeed unacceptable. However, instead of resigning, he said that he would like to meet the broadcaster and their ethics committee to discuss what transpired.

Jennifer Lopez performed in front of 160,000 people at the Mawazine World Rhythms International Music Festival that was aired on 2M, a public access television, on May 29. Other guests expected to grace the said festival in the next several days include Usher, Maroon 5 and Placebo. Pharrell Williams already performed last weekend.
