Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol have lashed out at the media for their "hypocritical" coverage of the Josh Duggar child molestation scandal compared to the attention they gave Lena Dunham and her own "sexual experiments" at a young age.

The former Alaskan governor wrote a Facebook post on Thursday complaining about the Duggar coverage after Bristol expressed her own outrage in a separate blog post. Both called out the liberal media for their "double standards" in reporting on the sexual exploits of the oldest Duggar son nearly 12 years ago and Dunham's admission that as a 7-year-old she experimented on her little sister.

"HEY LENA, WHY NOT LAUGH OFF EVERYONE'S SEXUAL 'EXPERIMENTS' AS YOU HAUGHTILY ENJOY REWARDS FOR YOUR OWN PEVERSION? YOU PEDOPHILE, YOU," Sarah Palin wrote.

Unlike her fellow Fox News personality Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin didn't make excuses for Josh Duggar and pointed out that the "main victim in any story like this isn't the perpetrator, it's the innocent ones so harmfully affected." Duggar's own parents seemed to defend their son during their interview with Megyn Kelly on Wednesday night more than show support for their daughters who had been victimized by him.

"I'm not an apologist for any sexual predator, but I'm sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics," Palin wrote. "Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham's sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she's rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family."

The former Republican vice presidential candidate also brought up the issue of the local police department illegally releasing Josh Duggar's juvenile records to InTouch magazine. The issue was touched upon in the Duggar parents' interview with Kelly and the family is considering a lawsuit against the outgoing Springdale Police Chief Kathy O'Kelly who signed off on the records' release.

Dunham has made no response to the Palins' accusations.
