Justin Bieber made it his mission this year to clean up his act and he's done so by taking responsibility for the reckless behavior he displayed in 2014.

Bieber pleaded guilty to assault and careless driving charges stemming from a 2014 incident involving a collision between an ATX vehicle and a minivan near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario, according to CBC News. The court dropped a dangerous driving charge against him.

The 21-year-old pop star agreed to a $750 fine for the careless driving charge. The sentence also included an absolute discharge on the assault charge. Bieber attended the court heart via satellite in Los Angeles, according to CNN.

Bieber's attorney Brian H. Greenspan said at the time that the singer and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, were on a "peaceful retreat" when the accident occurred due to interference with paparazzi.

In January, the "Boyfriend" singer pleaded no contest to vandalism charges after pelting eggs at his former neighbor's house in a gated community in Calabasas, Calif. He was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay $80,000 in damages to the homeowners as well as completing 12 anger management courses and five days of community service.
