"Dragon Ball" fans in Japan will only have to wait about month for Goku and the rest of the Z fighters to come back to television.

The latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed that "Dragon Ball Super" will premiere on Fuji TV in Japan on July 5 at 9 a.m., according to Comic Book Resources. Akira Toriyama, who created the original story, is responsible for the new anime's story and character concepts, and Toei Animation's Kimitoshi Chioka is directing the show.

"Dragon Ball Super" will be the first installment in the series in 18 years, following "Dragon Ball," "Dragon Ball Z" and "Dragon Ball GT."

Masako Nozawa will also return as the voice of Goku, Gohan and Goten, iDigitalTimes.com reported.

The new series will pick up several years after the Majin Buu saga and follows shortly after the recent film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F," which premiered in Japan in April and will be released in North America in August.
