Did Teresa Giudice trick everyone on Twitter?

There is no doubt that fans were beyond excited when "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star tweeted for the first time since she checked herself into prison. While the message definitely surprised her fans, some of them have been confused regarding if Giudice actually sent the tweet herself from prison and how.

"Thank you everyone for all of the cards, letters, and kind words of support. I love, love, love you all xo T!" the 43-year-old reality star's tweeted on Sunday.

The message was the Giudice's way of thanking fans, who sent cards and messages to the star for her 43rd birthday on May 18, according to PEOPLE.

Sorry to disappoint fans, but Giudice's attorney James Leonard Jr. told E! News that the reality star did not write the encouraging message to their fans because she does not have access to social media - rather the message was sent from her eldest daughter, Gia, 13, who wrote the message on her mother's behalf.

"Teresa absolutely did not send the tweet herself. She doesn't have access to Twitter," Leonard Jr. said. "The message came from her. She asked her daughter Gia to please post it."

"She wanted to thank her fans for the hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of mail that she's received since she's been incarcerated. In particular, she received an outpouring of kind words and support on her birthday. She's truly grateful," the Bravo star's attorney added. "While she's finishing her sentence, she may continue to communicate with her fans this way."

Giudice is currently serving her 15-month sentence in Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury after she and husband Joe Giudice were found guilty on charges of fraud last year.

The married couple of 15 years are also parents to Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5. In April, the reality star opened up about missing her children and husband.

"I miss Joe and my girls terribly, but we are going to get through this as a family one day at a time," she told Us Weekly . "We will be stronger because of this. Nothing can break us apart."
