Lauren Conrad is taking a stand against body shaming terms as summer heats up.

Conrad announced in her monthly "Letter from Lauren" on her lifestyle website that she and her editorial team have decided to eliminate words that can put additional pressure on women to have the perfect body, especially during swimsuit season.

"When we've talked about getting in shape in the past, words like 'skinny,' 'slim' and 'thin' have often come up. Starting this month, we'll be banning any body shaming terms from the site, and replacing them with words like 'fit,' 'toned' and 'healthy,'" the 29-year-old fashion designer wrote. "We try to do this for the most part anyway, but now we're making it official! The word skinny will now be reserved for skinny jeans."

"The Hills" alum has given June the theme of Shape Up, which will include fitness content and her traditional "Bikini Boot Camp" series. Other upcoming articles include how to pack for summer vacation, Meatless Monday recipes and a guide to reading food labels.

"I hope you find it all inspiring!" Conrad wrote.
