Its hard to find 30-minute videos with millions of views, but one video about a time-traveling cop fighting a Kung-fu Hitler has managed to do just that.

"Kung Fury" first came into existence as a trailer in 2013, which left viewers astounded. The trailer received more than 10.7 million views. Within two months of the trailer, the team behind the "Kung Fury" trailer (known as Laser Unicorn) raised more than $600,000 on Kickstarter in January 2014 to turn "Kung Fury" into a full 30-minute film.

The Kung Fury Kickstarter description says that this viral film is about "arcade-robots, dinosaurs, Nazis, vikings, Norse gods, mutants and a super kung fu-cop called Kung Fury." The film was produced throughout 2014, and was released on Youtube and Steam's video client on May 28 2015.

The film was a smash hit with online outlets. The Verge calls it was "the greatest '80s action movie the '80s never produced," and Bloody Disgusting described it as "30 minutes of pure nostalgia porn."

Unsurprisingly, the film was also well-received by fans. The YouTube version of "Kung Fury" was viewed more than 3 million times in the first 24 hours and has gained 6 million views as of Saturday. While 3 million is a fairly low amount in the YouTube world, Tubefilter notes that "Its hard to find many other 30-minute videos with millions of views."
