After three ACL injuries in 10 practices, the Philadelphia Eagles are investigating whether their practice field had anything to do with it.

The three ACL tears happened on the same middle practice field in Philadelphia, CSNPhilly.com reports.  None of the ACL injuries involved contact.

"We're looking into everything," Kelly told CSNPhilly.com.  "Obviously, when you have the same injury and it happens in a two-week span or whatever it is, we're going to look at it and try to figure it out, obviously, is it preventable?  Is it something that we can make sure doesn't happen?

"But I don't have any information.  I know we're looking at it.  But a lot happens any time we have injuries.  Our doctors and trainers are trying to figure that part out how the overall scope of everything we do.  But it's something that we are certainly looking at."

One change the Eagles made to the practice fields was the layout.  "Under the old look, the leftmost field ran vertically, while the adjacent two ran horizontally.  Now, all three fields are stacked side by side, vertically," Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly wrote.

Despite the injuries, Kelly doesn't plan to change his practice routine.  The Eagles, who are practicing this week with the New England Patriots, held joint scrimmages on Wednesday on the same middle field where the injuries occurred.

Receiver Jeremy Maclin tore his ACL on the second day of practice, linebacker Jason Phillips' ACL tear followed two days later and Arrelious Benn sustained his tear on Tuesday.
