It probably wasn't good news for fans of the Green Bay Packers when it was announced that No. 1 receiver and favored target of All Pro franchise quarterback A. A. ron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, had undergone an unexpected offseason surgery.

Take heart, Packers fans.

Nelson, speaking at Green Bay's OTAs this week, said that the procedure was "nothing major" and just meant to be a clean up to ensure no further issues.

"Obviously, if it didn't bother me, I probably wouldn't have had the surgery. But nothing major," Nelson said, per ESPNWisconsin. "I had an opportunity to get some things cleaned up. We did it, and I think it was a good move and feel good about where we're at moving forward."

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy announced in March that Nelson had undergone a procedure on his hip, causing a bit of a stir amongst Green Bay faithful unaware that their talented wideout was suffering from an injury. It is the second surgery Nelson has had since becoming an NFL player - he missed a portion of the 2013 preseason after undergoing a procedure on his knee.

While Nelson was obviously reticent to divulge many, if any, details about the surgery, he did say that he's feeling good and is ready to get to work, despite the fact that he's not currently taking part in Packers OTA work.

"It was something that hopefully will come out in about 10 years what we had done," Nelson said. "I got things cleaned up but everything's going well. We're excited where we're at and continuing to move forward. Everything's good."

If last season is any indication, Nelson should have little problem coming back from the surgery - he set a single-season Packers franchise record for receiving yards last season, hauling in 98 receptions for 1,519 yards in 2014.

With fellow wideout Randall Cobb back in the fold and the recently drafted Ty Montgomery onboard as well, Rodgers, Nelson, running back Eddie Lacy and the entire Super Bowl-worthy Packers offense seem likely to make some serious noise again in 2015.
