Khloe Kardashian's recent style sparked controversy as she wore a niqab in an Instagram selfie, reported ET Online.

According to Yahoo! News, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared a selfie from her time in Dubai wearing a niqab, the cloth that covers a woman's face as part of the traditional Muslim culture.

The photo was captioned "Habibi Love," which according to some must be a mistake because she wrote "habibi," which is an Arabic word meaning "my baby" or "my darling," when she actually meant to write "hijabi," meaning a woman or girl who wears the Islamic head-covering.

Some were offended by her selfie. One comment read, "Women getting killed and beaten up for wearing the niqab, but you keep pretending it's a fashion accessory, the disrespect."

Meanwhile, others liked it, with one Instagram follower saying, "Not offensive. Rock on Khloe."
