Jon Black may have walked away with a broken fishing rod, but in the process he caught one big fish.

Black, an employee of the Crazy Lure Tackle Shop in Cape Coral, Fla., "reportedly landed the biggest bottom fish ever caught" last week, according to Bleacher Report. What's even more impressive is that Black was in kayak while struggling to catch the 552-pound grouper. His reaction during the whole process is priceless.

After the grouper broke Black's fishing rod, he was able to bring it near shore to record measurements. It came in at 83 inches long with a girth of 73 inches, according to the description on the YouTube video. The video, provided by Chew On This, features raw footage, in slow motion, of the fishing rod snapping.

The Black ultimately put the fish back in the water, as is required for a "protected species" like a giant grouper, according to Canada Journal.
