TLC may consider keeping "19 Kids And Counting" after Josh Duggar's molestation scandal, but that doesn't necessarily mean their advertisers are going to stay on board.

As of Tuesday night four advertisers (Walgreens, Payless Shoesource, Choice Hotels International and General Mills) ditched the reality show that stars the giant Duggar family, reported Reuters

The family, which is essentially the Christian-version of the Kardashians, were put at risk of losing their show after Josh, the eldest son, was accused of molesting five underage girls when he was 15-years-old. He later admitted to the crimes and issued an apology.

Earlier on Tuesday, sources close to TLC said they are considering keeping the hit reality show on the air, but leaving out Josh, now 27.

The network will likely think carefully about their final decision, as the show gets high ratings for the network, Jeff McCall, a media studies professor at DePauw University in Indiana, predicted to Reuters based on his knowledge of the industry.

Last season "19 Kids And Counting" averaged 3.5 million views per show.

"Right now there may be a lot of outrage, a lot of concern," added McCall. "On the other hand, the American audience is pretty forgiving."
