Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is now up to $425 million since there was no winner for Saturday's $307 million top prize.

The jackpot may not be a impressive as the all-time highest win: $656 Mega Millions split between three ticket holders in March 2012.  However, that won't stop people from catching lotto fever.

The last lotto winner was 84-year old Floridian Gloria MacKenzie .  She won $590.5 million Powerball jackpot on May 18.

Mackenzie's kept her identity hidden for a while, but eventually released a statement to the public.

"While in line, another lottery player was kind enough to let me go ahead of them in line to purchase the winning Quick Pick ticket," Mackenzie said in a statement, according The New York Daily News.  "We are grateful for this blessing of winning the Florida Lottery Powerball jackpot and appreciate the interest of the public, state of Florida and the lottery."

The current $425 million winnings is the fourth-largest jackpot in the history of Powerball and is expected to get millions of ticket sales in 43 states until the final hours before Wednesday night's drawing 11 p.m. (ET) drawing.

"Without a doubt, when you get over $300 million, there's major excitement,'' New Jersey lottery spokeswoman Judith Drucker told USA Today.

One lucky winner may pocket a pre-tax payout of $244.7 million.

Chances of matching all six Powerball numbers: 1 in 175 million.

With a large jackpot in play, Powerball officials urge those who are particiapiting to play responsibly.

"While Lottery games are fun and entertaining, it is important that consumers use good judgment when playing games of chance," Anne Noble, president and CEO of the Connecticut Lottery said in a statement to NBC News.  "The public must be conscious and aware of the risks of problem gambling, and at the Lottery we make it our priority to educate consumers about responsible play."
