The season finale of “The Good Wife” showed Cary, played by Matt Czuchry, offering Alicia—played by Julianna Margulies—a job with the fourth-years' new firm. She accepted.

Now Will/Alicia fans were probably hoping it was Will—played by Josh Charles—at the door hoping to get Alicia back. Those who are tired of the love triangle and want Alicia and Peter—played by Chris Noth—to work were glad to see it was Cary. And, according to EOnline.com, Alicia/Peter fans weren’t the only happy to see Cary standing in the doorway.

"I would not have been happy if it was Will," Margulies acknowleged. "They didn't tell me how it was going to end and when I was reading the script I thought, 'Oh god, I hope we're not becoming that soap opera, that constant love triangle.' It's just going to get old too fast and it's just going to undermine these characters. So the ending, when I read it the first time I remember calling them and being like 'Oh my god, you're brilliant! Thank you!'"

Margulies speculated that Alicia took Cary’s offer in an attempt to move on.

"I think she's leaving the law firm because she knows that in her peripheral vision will always be Will," she said. "She can't move forward…if her and Will are working together. And in her heart of hearts she knows that's the right move."

Robert and Michelle King, executive producer and the show’s creators,  also said the show will feature some pretty nice guest stars:

--Melisa George (Triangle)

--Carrie Preston (True Blood)

--Gary Cole (Midnight Caller)

--America Ferrera (Ugly Betty)

--Ben Rappaport (Outsourced)

--Jeffrey Tambor (Psych)

The biggest storyline next season will be the “civil war” (as the producers called it)—the fight between the fourth-year’s firm and Lockhart/Gardner. According to producers, even though Alicia starts out at the firm, a “****storm” is coming.
