It appears the Marvel Universe cannot stay out of the headlines. Whether it's Joss Whedon's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." pilot making its rounds before debuting on ABC, Chris Pratt's new Guardians of the Galaxy look or rumors of other projects like "Ant Man," it would seem the super hero universe is peaking everyone's attention. The latest out of the world of Marvel is the new poster for the second installment of its post-Avengers Phase 2 plan: "Thor: The Dark World"

The poster features a few familiar characters and sidekicks as well as some new villians. Thorr is a significantly different film from other Marvel universe movies because most of the action does not take place on Earth. Thorr is the one member of the Avengers who can travel between worlds and fight enemies and aliens all across the galaxy.

The new movie will showcase a new villain, played by Christopher Eccleston, named Malekith the Accursed. He looms in the skies in the poster along with his army of dark elves marching forward in silhouette across the poster's bottom.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the film puts Natalie Portman's character, Jane Foster, in the realm of Asgard. Thor brings her there in order to keep her safe but, odds are, that plan goes horribly awry.

That is not the only poster for "Thor: The Dark World" out of Marvel today. In addition, a small teaser poster of Tom Hiddleston as Loki, trapped in a cell reading a book. The poster is there to announce a new trailer for the movie coming out in two days.

The film comes out on November 8 and will be the next film ramping up to the sequel to the most successful cross over film in history "The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron."
