Tom Cruise takes a beating and sports a missing tooth in his new film, "Mena."

Cruise will play the real-life pilot-turned drug trafficker Barry Seal who later worked as an informant for the CIA. The Doug Liman film is currently filming in Georgia, but some locals were a little concerned with Cruise's disheveled appearance, according to E! News.

The 52-year-old actor took some time to quell his fans' fears and explained his facial mishaps were all just movie makeup. He had one tooth blacked out and a nice shiner under his left eye, which he tried to cover with some round sunglasses.

Fortunately, Cruise arrived to set on Thursday with a full set of teeth again.

"Mena" will premiere in theaters on Jan. 6, 2017.
