Tess Holliday is People Magazine's new cover girl for its 2015 body issue!

The 29-year-old was also the first size-22 model to sign with a major modeling agency. Back in January, she joined MiLK Model Management. The plus-sized beauty also recently shot a campaign with Benefit Cosmetics, and has appeared in Vogue Italy.

Holliday, who is known for posting sexy photos on her Instagram account in order to promote self-love, has been very busy due to her success.

Not only is she the face of Torrid's spring campaign, but she is also responsible for creating the widely used #effyourbeautystandards hashtag.

The goal of the hashtag is to empower women to wear whatever they want -- regardless of their shape, according to the Huffington Post.

Holliday has dreamt of becoming a model for her entire life, and first tried to enter the industry 14 years ago, but it has not been an easy ride.

In her interview with People, she revealed that not only was she turned down by the industry and told that she was "too short and too big," but she also was bullied at school.

"I was getting shoved into lockers, I was being called names. I was getting death threats at my house. It was awful," she said.

None of that stopped her from achieving exactly what she wanted.

"I just knew that I could do it," she said. "I wasn't the best, and I still am not the best. They key to it is just doing it."

Holliday told People that she likes to wear a variety of looks, some more revealing, and others more conservative, but she has mastered how to rock each style.

"I like to wear bigger clothing that's flowing and fun but also to wear bathing suits and shirts and show off my body. It's about taking risks and trying things you wouldn't normally try."

"I think plus sized women have a tendency to cover up in things like cardigans and other clothes that hide the body but when you're trying to cover it up then you're taking away from your shape and your good features," she added.

Holliday also has a son named Rylee, whom she gave birth to in 2005, and she is now engaged to her manager, Nick Holliday, whom she met on Tumblr in 2012, according to the Daily Mail.

"When I did my first photo-shoot naked - about three years ago I saw myself nude without Photoshop and thought, 'I don't look that bad."'

People's body issue hits newsstands on May 22.
