Alright, alright, alright.

Word on the digital street is that actor Matthew McConaughey ("Interstellar," "Dallas Buyers Club") is being eyed by Marvel and Sony studios to play Norman Osborn in their new series of "Spider-Man" films.

Now take this rumor with a giant grain of salt as it comes from the YouTube channel "That Hashtag Show" which doesn't have a ton of scoops to their name. However, they were ahead of the curve on a few "Avengers: Age of Ultron" spoilers so that is worth keeping in mind.

Remember, McConaughey recently revealed that he had read scripts from both Marvel and DC and that he was interested in a comic book movie if the right role came along. After his dark turn in HBO's "True Detective," I think there is little doubt McConaughey could muster up the right amount of doom and gloom for this iconic Spidey villain.
