The jury that has the fate of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's life in its hands has reached a verdict.

The decision comes 14 and a half hours hours after deliberations began, according to the Associated Press. The announcement was made at 2:30 p.m. by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Court will resume at 3 p.m and the verdict is set to be read at 3:10 p.m.

Tsarnaev was charged with 30 counts last month, 17 of which carry the death penalty. According to CNN, many survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings, as well as supporters and family members of Tsarnaev, will be in the courtroom when the verdict is read.
