Filipino shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra were declared the winners of the inaugural season of "Asia's Got Talent."

The group defeated fellow Top 2 finalist Khusugtun, an ethnic group from Mongolia, as well as seven other finalists for the top spot after audiences all around Southeast Asia casted their votes, according to a report from CNN Philippines.

For their final performance, the group paid an incredibly moving tribute to Mother Nature prior to the official announcement.

"'Asia's Got Talent' is the highlight of our careers and of our lives," said El Gamma Penumbra's leader, overcome with emotion and then dedicated their win to their fellow Filipinos in the Philippines and living in other parts of the world.

The group ended up winning the $100,000 prize money and the chance to perform at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
