Oz was not involved in the accident, but when he saw the crash in his rear-view mirror, he sprinted back to help, Westampton Township Emergency Services said Tuesday on Facebook.

"Dr. Oz was very professional and helpful," Westampton Chief Jason Carty told NJ.com. "It obviously was a surprise for them to get on scene and see a TV celebrity helping out the injured people."

The accident occurred near Exit 6 on the industrial highway, and Oz stayed with the two victims until help arrived.

Emergency services crew members said Oz stabilized one person's spine and provided them with details about both victims' injuries and conditions upon their arrival.

Both passengers were treated for minor injuries.

Dr. Oz, 54, clearly makes it a priority to offer assistance whenever he is part of a scenario that he can lend a helping hand, as this was not the first time he came to the rescue in an emergency situation.

In 2013, Oz rushed to the scene when a taxi jumped the curb and struck a pedestrian near his TV studio in New York City, according to Yahoo!

Oz, who was dubbed "America's doctor" by Oprah Winfrey, launched his show back in 2009, and has been criticized for his "alternative" treatments.

In light of the recent scandal surrounding the TV personality, this selfless act should serve as a reminder of his true personality and caring nature.

Oz resides in Cliffside Park, N.J., with his wife Lisa.
