A firefighter's iPhone helped him creatively rescue six baby Mallard ducks that had fallen through a storm drain in Slidell, Louisiana.

Firefighter Cody Knecht was having trouble rescuing the baby ducks when responding to a call. Instead of getting frustrated and giving up Knecht decided to use his iPhone to "quack" the case.

Knecht pulled up the quacking duck ringtone in hopes that his phone would be able to impersonate the mother duck calling her babies.

The plan worked and the sound lured the ducklings to Knecht!

After more than an hour and a half all six of the ducklings were rescued and reunited with their mother.
