The Star Wars Celebration in Essen, Germany, was supposed to be where the franchise announced major details about who would be starring in the film scheduled for a 2015 release. Unfortunately there were no case related announcements and it is still not known who will be starring in the new film.

What is now known is that the film is beginning production much sooner than had originally been anticipated. According to SlashFilm.com shooting is supposed to begin sometime this month at Pinewood Studios in London.

All of the previous speculation was that the film would start shooting toward the end of the year if not in early 2014.

SlashFilm.com also reports that "Foodles" is going to go down in history along with "Rory's First Kiss" and "Blue Harvest." A source told Star Wars fansite Jedi News that "Star Wars: Episode VII" is currently going by the code name of "Foodles." In case you didn't know "Rory's First Kiss" was the code name for "The Dark Knight" and thanks to "The Family Guy" everyone knows that "Blue Harvest" was the pseudonym for "Return of the Jedi."

Foodles are a Disney line of healthy snacks that all seem to include sliced apples and come in a container the shape of Mickey's famous cranium. The website proclaims that they are "America's #1 Sliced Apple." Anyway, people are about to become far more interested in Foodles now.

One thing of substance that was revealed at the Star Wars Celebration was that producer Kathleen Kennedy wants the film to rely on computer generated effects far less than the prequels did, according to Metro.

"It's using model makers, it's using real droids, it's taking advantage of artwork that you actually can touch and feel," Kennedy said.

Soon those real droids will have to be joined by real actors if "Foodles" is really set to begin filming this month. Turn back to HNGN where we will have all of the latest news and rumors pertaining to "Star Wars: Episode VII."
