Sarah Jessica Parker may have just confirmed a big development for "Sex and the City" fans.

Yesterday, Parker posted an Instagram photo of herself leaving a Bloomingdale's department store in New York City. The caption read: "Well. I guess the cat's out of the (little brown) bag. As usual, will keep you posted on every details as we are able. I'm under strict gag order until then."

The picture along with the mysterious caption led to speculation that she was confirming that "Sex and the City 3" had started production. However, Warner Bros. has not even said that a third film is underway, let alone in the midst of filming.

"The post is not in relation to the Sex and the City property," the studio said to E! news in a statement last night.

Also dousing the excitement of fans of the hit HBO series is the fact that Parker tagged her shoe line, SJP Collection, and not her "Sex and the City" co-stars Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon. The actress' shoe line is available at Zappos Couture, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus and the post could be a hint that it will soon be sold in Bloomingdales as well.

Parker has leveraged the popularity of "Sex and the City" to promote her SJP Collection in the past. In October 2014, she posted an Instagram photo of herself on her character's recognizable stoop. "It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie," Parker captioned the picture.

Producer Michael Patrick King told E! News back in November 2014 that a third "Sex and the City" film was possible. "As far as Sex and the City goes, the mere fact that it is still so alive, and not just on the gym TVs, not just on the Precor, but that people are still wondering about these girls, you never know," he said. "It could come back at some point. All bets are off."
