Back in March, the actress dished about the more sentimental side to her former superhero partner.

(The interview was conducted when the two were still a couple).

On "The Amazing Spider-Man" star, Andrew Garfield, Stone said, per People:

Keaton: "Andrew Garfield said, 'Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river [Stone laughs] and never holding on to the sides. From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be.' My God. I mean, what did you feel when you heard such a dream-come-true observation?"

Stone: "He is such a poet. [laughs] But that's the way he writes in general. So I hear it and of course my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis. [laughs]"

Keaton: "No way."

Stone: "What a guy. He is a real Wordsworth."

It sounds like Garfield still has a special place in Stone's heart.

Stone, 26, also talked about her fans and her views on beauty, saying, "The more unique the better. When you feel that a person is being true to how they want to look or what their face is, I think there's something about the acceptance of oneself that I can feel from people. That tends to be what I'm attracted to."

The "Birdman" star also expressed that she is thankful for her fans and their response to (and appreciation of) her work.

"When someone comes up to you and says something truly heartfelt about work you've done, that means a lot," she said.

The May issue of Interview will be available on newsstands this week.
