We know the Duchess of Cambridge is taking after her late mother-in-law Princess Diana when it comes to parenting, but how will her own mother, Carole Middleton, raise baby Prince George? According to Hollywood Life, Carole will be a bit of a protective "tigress" as she helps raise the new heir to the throne.

"Carole will be like a tigress protecting her daughter from everyone. She will be telling Kate, 'It's time for your sleep, and I will look after the baby' and so on," Majesty Editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward said to People.

The Duchess has already gone against royal tradition by returning to her hometown in Bukclebury, Berkshire for the baby's first few nights instead of spending her first few days at the palace. She and husband Prince William will move into their new home in Kensington Palace, the luxurious resident Apartment 1A, once renovations are complete. However, after making her first public appearance with Prince George outside of the Lindo Wing where she gave birth naturally (just as Princess Diana did!), Kate Middleton was quick to return to the comforts of her family in Bucklebury.

"For them to go back to Bucklebury shows that Kate wants the security and comfort of her family instead of a huge ream of staff," maternity nurse Sarah Dixon told People. Although Middleton's childhood home is smaller than the palace, it is still a grand 17-bedroom home that is known in the village as "the Manor."

US Weekly reports that dinners at the Middleton home have been traditional Italian meals cooked with the help of housekeeper Antonella Fresolone (decamped from the couple's Kensington Palace digs) in Carole and Michael's open kitchen," though there is no special treatment, as even Prince William is expected to help with the dirty dishes.

"William still has to help load the dishwasher after dinner," a source told the gossip magazine. "The same will apply to George when he's a grown boy."

Although he will grow up surrounded by pomp and circumstance, it looks as though Prince George will be kept level-headed by his down-to-earth royal parents and grandmother, Carole Middleton.

According to Marcia Moody who penned the Kate Middleton biography "Kate: A Biography," Carole Middleton "ran a tight ship" with her own kids, so she will very likely play a big role in helping to raise and care for Prince George.
