Stuart Young, of Edinburgh, Scotland, was convicted of sexual harassment and two counts of rape after it was discovered that he raped an infant who was only one day old and continued to sexually abuse the newborn until he was three months old.

Sadly, Young did not stop there.

He allegedly molested many other children - girls and boys - between 2008 and 2013 at various locations within the Scottish capital.

The 37-year-old pedophile - who has previous convictions for non-related offenses - pleaded not guilty during the week-long trial and denied any wrongdoing, but the court was informed that Young raped a 6-month-old baby girl in November 2008.

He continued to assault her until December 2013, when she was five years old, according to the International Business Times UK.

In July 2013, he also allegedly abused a 9-year-old girl near Stenhouse.

The judge made it known that Young would be serving a lengthy prison sentence for all of his sexual attacks on helpless children.

"You have been convicted of some truly depraved and despicable crimes. You should expect a sentence to reflect your level of criminality," Judge Paul Arthurson QC said on April 30.

One of the two girls reported the sexual abuse, and authorities arrested Young in 2014. He was charged quickly thereafter.

Due to the ages of the minors involved, none of the children's names have been revealed.

Young's sexual crimes have labeled him as the "Baby Rapist," and he is considered by High Court to be one of the most "horrific criminals," according to the Mirror.

The details of the case were so traumatic that jurors have been excused from serving on another jury for five years, IBT UK reported.

"Thanks to the bravery of these two little girls in speaking up about the horrific abuse Young inflicted upon them, their physical ordeal is over and their tormentor is now facing a considerable prison sentence," Detective Inspector Douglas Moran said.

Moran also mentioned that Young's victims and their families have been receiving support from specialists as they work to overcome the traumatic events.

Young will be sentenced at High Court in Edinburgh on May 28.
