Ryan McHenry was watching Ryan Gosling in "Drive" when he got the idea for what would go on to be one of the biggest memes ever on the Internet. Like most of his movies, in "Drive" Gosling is stoic for a majority of his time on screen. McHenry took a spoon of cereal, put it in front of his television with Gosling's face and the rest is history.

McHenry became a vine and Internet star because of the "Ryan Gosling Won't Eat His Cereal" videos. He died on Sunday in Scotland, his native country, at the age of 27 from bone cancer, according to Today.

Gosling took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message out to the family and friends of McHenry, and, in his first post ever on Vine, the actor finally ate his cereal.

My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry's family and friends. Feel very lucky to have been apart of his life in some small way.
