Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

Vanity Fair has released photos from their recent set visit on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and they confirm that Adam Driver is indeed playing the villain Kylo Ren.

Vanity Fair's caption to the photo reads: "Next-generation bad guy Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) commands snowtroopers loyal to the evil First Order on the frozen plains of their secret base."

The news outlet also confirmed that Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong'o is playing a CGI character named Maz Kanata who is a pirate of some kind.

Driver, who is best known from his role on the popular HBO series "Girls," has been rumored to be playing the villain for some time now. We know very little about the character aside from his crossguard lightsaber and obligatory Dark Side black attire.

One interesting theory that has surfaced recently is that Kylo Ren is actually the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia. That would make his obvious allegiance to the Dark Sider all the more impactful.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on December 18.
