Atlanta loss its first two road games against Brooklyn, but after Wednesday's 107-97 win at home, the Hawks are on the verge of closing out their first-round series - if they can win one at Barclays Center. Hawks forward DeMarre Carroll led with 24 points, center Al Horford and guard Jeff Teague each scored 20 points, and guard Kyle Korver added 17.

Losing two games to the eighth-seeded Nets likely served as a wakeup call for the No. 1 Hawks, and Horford seemed to indicate it was proof that what happens in the regular season doesn't matter in the playoffs.

"You never underestimate any team," Horford told the Associated Press. "There's some adversity we're facing, and they're playing really good basketball. They're very confident. We just have to be able to handle that and come out and play better. They're pushing us, we're pushing them, and I feel like it's going to make us better in the end."

For Brooklyn, it's now win or go home.

"Every game is hard and an elimination game is hard," said Nets coach Lionel Hollins. "It's the fourth game and it's the last one you have to win, and you have to have the right mindset and you have to go out and execute and do the same things. And the other team is a very desperate team because it's the last game if they don't win."

Nets guard Alan Anderson led the team in scoring on Wednesday with 32 points, but guard Deron Williams, who exploded in Game 4 for 35 points, was limited to just five points.
