Lindsay Lohan is preparing to leave rehab but has requesting to stay in the facility a little longer. According to TMZ, the actress is supposed to leave Cliffside Malibu Treatment Centre on Wednesday, July 31 but wants to hang around for three or four more days so she can transition back into the outside world.

She is reportedly asking to stay in the "lower level, sober living house" which she thinks will help her transition from leaving rehab and going back to her life in New York City. The "Mean Girls" actress has been to rehab several times in the past but this time sources have said that she is taking it seriously.

"It's like invasion of the body snatchers," a source told TMZ. "She's a different person."

She has a full schedule waiting after she leaves Cliffside and according to TMZ she is afraid of the temptations she'll have to deal with but is determined "to conquer her demons this time around."

E! News reported that beginning Monday Aug. 5, Lohan will take over for Chelsea Handler as a cohost for "Chelsea Lately." She also has s few gigs lined up with Oprah Winfrey.

The TV talk show queen announced an interview with Lohan followed by an eight-part documentary series that takes a look into her life as she tries to readjust to life outside of rehab, the Daily Mail reports. The show will appear in 2014 on OWN.

The "Parent Trap" actress has also been getting a lot of buzz about her latest movie "The Canyons." The overly-sexually movie stars Lohan and porn star James Deen as lovers who like to film their sexual escapades with random men and couples they meet online. The movie recently premiered in New York City and is scheduled to be released on Friday, Aug. 2.

"Lindsay has moved out of her ingénue phase," director Paul Schrader told Newsday. "I think she wears the new phase quite well."

The low-budget film will be Lohan's first starring role in a feature film in six years. She reportedly was only paid $100 a day during filming and had to do her own hair and makeup as well as provide a wardrobe.
