The superfight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao ended with the undefeated champion remaining just that. Mayweather withstood Pacquiao and won the match after 12 rounds by unanimous decision, pushing his record to 48-0.

Mayweather admitted Pacquiao was "one hell of a fighter," but at the end of the night he felt he outboxed his opponent. His defense once again prevailed, and he threw the necessary punches to put him ahead in the eyes of the judges en route to his 48th win.

The judges' scorecards read 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110 in favor of Mayweather.

The fight is expected to gross close to $400 million, with Mayweather taking around $180 million and Pacquiao around $120 million.

After the fight, Mayweather said: "I knew (Pacquiao) was going to push and win some rounds. He had some moments, but I kept him on the outside. I didn't get hit with a lot of shots, unless I stood in the pocket. I'm a calculating fighter, but he's a tough competitor.

"My dad (trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr.) wanted me to do more, but Pacquiao is a tough competitor and an awkward fighter."

Pacquiao, who arguably gave Mayweather the biggest challenge of his career, disagreed with the judges' decision to award Mayweather the victory via unanimous decision.

"It's a good fight. I thought I won the fight," Pacquiao said, according to ESPN. "He didn't do anything. He moved outside. I got him many more times with a lot of punches, and I thought I won the fight; I was never hurt. I was very surprised at the scores."

Another interesting thing to report, which could become a major storyline, is Pacquiao reportedly fought with an injured shoulder, something Yahoo Sports is reporting he suffered almost a month ago.

As for what's next? The 38-year-old Mayweather said he plans to fight in September, a match many expect will be his last.
