While Apple has done a fantastic job syncing up the Apple Watch launch across the world, there's one country that hasn't received their wearable devices: Israel.

"A senior cellular industry source told (The Israeli press) that as of now, the watch is scheduled to arrive in Israel only at the beginning of next year, while Apple is already talking with the cellular operators and other official importers about putting it on sale," the Israeli business paper Globes reported. The delay is partly due to a global shortage of watches, as well as supply problems. This has led Apple to launch the device through local mobile phone operators at first, rather than through their website or the standard Apple vendors. After some time, Apple promised to sell the device through standard computer and mobile vendors.

However, the company promises to make access as easy as possible. "In a conversation with one of the official importers, Apple promised that the launch in Israel will occur simultaneously at all of the stories and companies," Globes reported.

This is a really peculiar move for Apple, since it recently expanded its Israel-based research and development center. "The company leases a portion of its Herzliya R&D center, and it is going to lease more space in the same building in order to make it easier for the engineers there to work," a source who's involved with the deal said.

The Apple Watch has already arrived in the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, China, Japan and Hong Kong. Many customers are still waiting to receive their Watches, and their pre-ordered devices are supposed to arrive some time in June.
