Johnny Depp may be nearing the end of his acting career. According to the New York Daily News, the "Lone Ranger" star recently told BBC Breakfast in an interview that people won't see him on the big screen for too much longer.

"Are there quieter things I wouldn't mind doing? Yeah, I wouldn't mind that," he told BBC. "I wouldn't say I am dropping out any second, but I would say it's probably not too far away."

His reasoning from wanting to give up acting? He explained that a lot of times actors don't deliver their own words but other people's words.

"At a certain point you start thinking and when you add up the amount of dialogue you say per year for example, you realize you've said written words more than you've had a chance to say your own words," he told BBC. "You start thinking of that as an insane option for a human being."

This isn't the first time Depp has brought up the idea of retiring. He brought up the topic to both the Daily News and the Rolling Stones in the past. Just last month, he told the Daily News that he was thinking more and more about other interests in his life besides acting. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor said that music was starting to become an "escape from things you need to escape from now and again."

In an interview with the Rolling Stones, the 50-year-old actor the thought of retirement constantly comes up for him and one day he would like to just to take it down to the bare minimum and concentrate on, I guess, living life. Really living life." He hinted that he couldn't see himself as a Hollywood actor for another ten years.

Fans don't have to panic just yet because the actor still has a full plate of upcoming movies including "Transcendence," "Mortdecai" and "Into the Woods." He will also be back for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."
