For Bruce Jenner from Demi Lovato!

The 22-year-old actress and singer took some time during her Auckland, New Zealand, concert on Saturday to dedicate her performance of the ballad "Warrior" to the former Olympic gold medalist who opened up about his struggles with gender identity and identifying himself as a woman during a recent ABC interview with Diane Sawyer.

Before her performance Lovato admitted to the audience that she didn't know who Jenner was until watching E!'s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" but later called him a hero "who probably saved so many lives" after coming out as transgender.

"I just want to dedicate this song and it's so cheesy that I'm even doing this, but f--k it, whatever. I want to dedicate it to someone who became an even bigger hero last night - Bruce Jenner," Lovato told the crowd.

"By the way, never ever thought I'd dedicate a song to him, but he was honest and he was open with his story. No matter if you agree with it or not, he probably saved so many lives and educated so many people about transitioning into being a woman and being transgender, and what that's all about. So yeah, I just want to dedicate it to Bruce Jenner."

She added, "By the way, he looked fabulous last night."

During Jenner's 20/20 interview with Sawyer, he revealed that he was transitioning into a woman.

"For all intents and purposes, I am a woman," he said. "My brain is much more female than it is male. That's what my soul is. Bruce lives a lie. She is not a lie... People look at me differently. They see you as this macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life-it is part of me. That female side is part of me. That's who I am."

Several celebrities including Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Laverne Cox, Andy Cohen and Jimmy Fallon have applauded Jenner's courageous discussion on gender identity.
